Overview

Canon EOS R resets the standards for speed, detail and intuitive design. This full frame mirrorless camera captures movement in any light with hyper-fast autofocus and a 30.3MP Full Frame CMOS sensor. Canon's Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus (AF) has been supercharged and combined with a DiG!C 8 imaging processor to deliver AF in as fast as 0.05 sec - Canon's fastest AF in a full frame camera – an astounding 5655 available AF point positions, frame coverage area of 100% vertical & 88% horizontal, Eye Detect AF and the ability to focus in the dark down to EV -6. Furthermore, the Canon EOS R lets you experience intuitive control with a revolutionised feel and functionality. All main dials and buttons on the EOS R are easily customisable to shoot your way while each RF lens features Canon's new lens control ring for fast control over your choice of aperture, shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation. A new dedicated RF lens range is complemented by compatibility to over 90 Canon EF and EF-S lenses via one of 3 lens adapters.

The 3.69 million dot 0.5” OLED EVF is bright and responsive, offering extensive shooting and intuitive operation that automatically adjusts orientation as the camera is rotated.

Easy to Use Multi-Function Bar
EOS R features an innovative new multi-function bar with capacitive touch control and 3 operations: swipe, tap left and tap right. Over 40 customizable operations are available and can be set independently for shooting and playback modes.

Immersive Control with Touch & Drag AF
When shooting through the viewfinder, simply use your thumb on the rear LCD screen to change auto focus points or pull focus in movie mode.

High Resolution Vari-Angle Touch Screen
A high resolution 2.1 million dot 3.15” Vari-angle LCD panel with full touch operation enables fast auto focus point selection, operation of menus and image review.

Intuitive Control with Lens Control Ring
All Canon RF lenses feature a lens control ring allowing intuitive control over aperture, shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation. The Control Ring Mount adapter brings this intuitive new shooting experience to your existing EF and EF-S lenses.

Outstanding 4K Movies & Timelapse
Capture 4K UHD 30p movies with Dual Pixel CMOS AF and vari-angle touch screen LCD. EOS R also supports Canon Log and 4K HDMI 10-bit output to an external recorder, and can capture 4K timelapses in camera.
